This Dream Home is Designed for Family Living
Vicki Payne and Sloan Payne-Rutter of For Your Home are emphasizing the Creativity and Activity theme with a tone of casual elegance both inside and outside the 2008 Dream Home. Comfortable seating will highlight the outdoor living space of the covered porch. While inside, the open and welcoming family room will boast durable fabrics that are casual, but still great for entertaining.

Payne will also unveil a new line of fabric at the Dream Home. The new patterns and fabrics are designed with bold colors and horizontal stripes.

The children’s bedrooms are decorated more with older children in mind. The boy’s bedroom will have sports and study areas and several nooks and crannies for storage. Warm, earth-tone colors will give the room “outdoor spirit,” according to Payne. "These colors make you feel like you’re not trapped inside, but rather you have the outdoors with you," Payne says.

As for the girl’s bedroom, it will display bright colors to give the appearance of a crafts room. With the popular TV show Project Runway as inspiration, this room will be adorned with a sewing station and bulletin and drawing boards for fashion designs.
